everything is coming up green and pink

Almost 2 years ago, we planted 2 thundercloud plums out front. Hinting towards spring, they've bloomed this week and some random bulbs have started to sprout.

damn frozen pipes

We congratulated ourselves for not getting our pipes frozen last night, having dripped faucets all over the house. As the pipes, have never frozen during the daytime, we turned the drips off when we left for work this morning. Bad idea...

We were supposed to start working around the corner from last week's wall, but the weather isn't cooperating. We did manage to get some of the siding pulled and replaced in a few dry hours, but not nearly what was on the schedule.

Soon after we got the house, a litter of kittens was born in the crawlspace. Being fixed and fed, a few have stuck around and even attracted other wayward cats. We seem to have a new one this summer...
