the ugliest house that I have ever seen
We saw a house in Newport News, Virginia, today and had to go around the block to get a picture...
The front of the ugliest house.
We also saw (pictured below)(in the same neighborhood!) the Newsome House, "the restored 1899 residence of the African-American attorney J. Thomas Newsome and his wife Mary Winfield Newsome".
The Newsome House (from 1899)
(On the drive back we saw this from the highway and have promised to return.)

Wow. It looks like they saved tons on windows! And look at that roof, two flat sides easy to shingle and no valleys to cause mysterious, hard to find leaks. Is it really a house?

Have you ever seen the house at the corner of Brook and Overbrook? That one gets my vote.

My bet is that albinos live there. Or vampires. Tacky, tacky vampires.

The article on Newport News omitted the fact that I was born there! Or maybe I didn't read the fine, fine print very closely!
