another pink wall

Over a month after getting the back wall painted, we finally finished painting the longer wall along the side of the house.

pink house
See before

We actually painted the siding on the long wall and the very short wall of the bump-out. The trim is untouched and looks worse now, next to the nice solid siding... We had to replace about half of the siding on the long wall and most of the short wall. A long-time leak in the gutter about the drain in that corner had played hell on the siding in the corner.

We plan to paint the drainpipe in the corner to fit in, but don't really have the time right now. If we're going to reach a good stopping point before the season ends, we have to move on the other walls along the side.

One of the small but nice details is having been able to install the dryer vent.

Is that a face in the upper window?

That might be a cat. (or a ghost!)

It sure looks like a little boy to me. Perhaps it is a ghost, but who ever heard of a pink haunted house? Are there any ghost stories associated with the house?
