the bastards stole our ladder again

In a few weeks when we start working outside, we'll need to buy another ladder because some turd has stolen ours (again). The ladder was double locked to a large tree. The locks were cut and left behind...

too bad no one steals old plaster and lath from your dumpsters. They only take the good stuff.

Sorry to hear that bro. That sucks. Sounds like you've been marked.

What kind of person steals a ladder? It's not the sort of thing you can sell out of the trunk of your car.

kristin -- you can recycle it and make decent $$$, at least compared to collecting that many cans...

You would be suprised. They do shop it around sometimes. I've been hit up a few times to buy a random ladder up there. But a guy walking down the middle of the street asking if you want to buy a ladder, you better check your own back yard first. =)

If you end up buying another ladder, maybe you could write something obscene on it, really BIG, so that whoever steals it will be embarrassed to carry it around, trying to resell it.

Hey, or maybe you could spray paint the next one pink? You could paint the sides pink and the rungs lime green. Seriously, I'm sorry it happened again. I have been there too and it can be so fucking disheartening.

why not carve your name into it? "Stolen From _YOUR NAME HERE_" in a couple of places.

That bites. I'd be setting up a sting operation that would make me so mad...

How about a sign that says "Keep your hands off of something that I worked hard for or my pitbull is going to lunch on your ass!"

bob -- We've been seen walking our dog too many times for that to be very effective :)
