plans for a bathroom

We have an in with some architects and this is occasionally useful. One of these architects, a guy that we'll call Joe, recently drew out a plan for our downstairs bathroom.

Now that it is time to start rebuilding the downstairs bathroom, we need to nail down the details of what we would really like to do. We have an idea for a floor plan, but the plumbers would like more specific information than "the tub goes here" when they rerun the lines.

Based on our sketches, Joe came up with these drawings for us. They show the plan for a bathroom with a glass-block window, a shower with a glass half-wall, and a sink and toilette.

Glass block? Not very victorian. And if it shows from the outside... Oy.

I love glass block, but even if the window is in the back yard, it seems out of place, besides that you wouldn't be able to open it. How about a window using that glass that's "scrunchy" or otherwise has a non-see through surface?

In our neighborhood, not being able to open the window is a positive thing :)
