checking out the tin roof
I recently had a reason to use the newish hatch to the roof from the back porch. The hatch is good.
We can now clean almost all of the gutters without climbing up the tall ladder. Getting to the front drain spout is a little precarious, so I made my friend Scott do that one for me.

Love the tin roof! never thought about an access hatch. and they look like boxed-in gutters. i'm thinking about a copper roof for our house. any recommendations on suppliers or installers?

Our only experience with "roofers" was demoralizing. They were spotty about showing up to do work and high most of the time. And we still have one of the leaks that was supposed to have been fixed... My only suggestion, obvious really, is don't take that insanely low bid unless that is the only way.

I happened by your site while doing some research on three-legged cats! I've sat here for the last two hours going over your restoration. Very cool! Good luck in continuing efforts... ~Gail from Valparaiso, IN.
