a new member of the team
Somehow we got to thinking that the 4 cats inside and the colony around the house weren't enough small animals to take care of.
One of us has long had a thing for the puppy galleries at Animal Haus Chihuahuas. The puppy-reluctant one of us has been using the line of 'maybe after the house is more put together' to maintain the status quo, but this dam burst when a particularly special little black puppy showed up a few weeks ago...
This led to renewed discussion and ultimately a 6-hour drive to the surprisingly bustling city of Bristol, Virginia, to pick up Hank.
It rained last weekend, so we wouldn't have been able to do anything anyway.

Love the name: Hank and the scale photo w/ the diet coke.
I want one I want one too! But wait, my 2 other little dogs wouldn't like that...oh well.
And puppies are great w/ house work going on- you don't care as much about accidents and the messes they make and they go w/ the general mayhem of remodeling ejem.

I have a chihuahua, and he's a great dog - a real love bug. And he doesn't seem to mind the constant changes in his surroundings. I'm sure Hank will be a good addition to the family ;)

Too cute! Can't wait to see a picture of him with the cats! (How are they adjusting?) Be sure to take 5000 pictures of him while he's still a puppy

Even though I'm not a dog person, and don't like chi-chi dogs, I have to admit - he's cute. He's definitely going to need a winter coat!
