victorian fun! (updated)
Inspired by some of the wonderful and over-the-top Victorians of Savannah, Ga., we've photoshopped what the house might look like in a few years.

UPDATED: This got better! My sister the future landscape architect took our original 'over' image and added the trees and bushes. It is well on its way towards full ridiculousness.

First off -- y'all sure have some big plans for that lil' ranch, eh? After looking at what you're up to, I don't feel so overwhelmed anymore :)
They got the first floor framed today for our new back porch! These guys are absolutely great... Their work looks so permanent and they've been good about putting in solid hours and keeping the yard orderly. Unfortunately it might rain the next few days and there might be a competing project that will drain man power so progress may slow a bit.

Wow - I very much like the new turret and porch railing. What great ideas you have! I've been a fan of your site for some time now and look forward to seeing your porch rebuilt. (It's so much easier when someone else is doing the work, isn't it?!)
Keep up the great work. Gotta love Photoshop...

Thanks, John. The 'mouseover' didn't work for me, but the changes to the house are amazing during the past year. It'll be just as beautiful as the Savannah houses when you and Ronni finish.

That's a stunning shade of lizard green!
Hubby and I went to Savannah and Charleston, SC, on our honeymoon, and they are both remarkable cities.

dont you love photoshop? i've re-invented the facade of our little bungalow 4 times now and have moved on to doing the houses of my neighbors...they love it too!
