the porch next door is slowly collapsing
The house next door was abandoned part-way through a half-ass restoration. It is now boarded up, and the porch and vinyl siding are coming off. Last night more of the porch collapsed.
We walked through the house before it was boarded up (back before the doors were stolen, though). The house has been split into apartments, the plaster has been pulled off of the walls, the fireplaces have been rebuilt and a good amount of rewiring has been done. Neither upstairs or downstairs has a a furnace or ductwork, and there is not a bathroom or kitchen. Most of the original interior detail seems gone, though some of the trim is still up.

Is the status of this house still the same? Do you know if the owner may want to sell it?

That house is exactly the same. The owner isn't local -- he's in DC. I don;t know where he stands on this, but we'd love to see someone get pick tis house up and get it back in use. Here is the city info for the house, including the owner's name and address.
