the cat is broken

Two of the feral cats that came with the house, Key-Key and Teeny, are still around, having doubled the 2-year average life-span for ferals. We’ve picked up a new boy cat along the way; today was his day to go the vet and get fixed.

mitsu returns!

Last summer, a three-legged cat became part of our outside herd. Sometime in the early winter he stopped coming around and we assumed the worst. This afternoon, though, Mitsu was seen chillin’ in the new grass.

a new member of the team

Somehow we got to thinking that the 4 cats inside and the colony around the house weren’t enough small animals to take care of.

cats good; pigeons bad

A goal of ours since the beginning has been to get the &%$! pigeons out and off of our house. Since the last update, the guys working on rebuilding the back porch have made great progress, including starting the structure for the porch roof and blocking off the remaining pigeon access point.
