At least 2 community blogs based in the far West End briefly sputtered to life and died over the past 18 months (Short Pump Cowboy, RVA West). A third, Downtown Short Pump, is alive and polished but is as much a directory as news source. They could do well if they can post more frequently, as there is obviously interest in what is going on out there.
