trajectory
Almost a year ago I wrote that There need to be more very local community-oriented blogs. Those words have been honored as the Post of the Year in the RVA News 2007 Richmond Blog Awards, not because of my precision writing but certainly because the flourishing of community blogs that sprang up in the months that followed. Those blogs, as a whole, won Best New Blog in 2007 in the same awards.
This has been very interesting and satisfying to watch happen; it can only become more interesting as these new community sites continue to grow and really find their voice and audiences.
As awesome as the hoodblog coverage has become, there is still room for growth. As I’ve said before: If anyone out there is interested in setting up something for your area, I would be glad to offer any help that I can.
